Day 1 | International arrival in Tribhuvan Airport, Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal! A representative from Trans Himalayan Tour will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. We will have booked a 4 star/5 star accommodation for you, depending on your preference. We would also arrange for your visit to Trans Himalayan Tour office in Patan where we will brief you on the itinerary in person. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 | Kathmandu to Bandipur: 4 hrs drive

Today you will make your way to Bandipur after breakfast. The trip will take around four hours drive and you will get the first taste of what the hilly terrain of Nepal looks and feels like. Bandipur has kept its beautiful heritage and old town feel, the preservation is definitely worth commending in this charming town coaxed among the hills. You can go for a hike to the Magar village of Ramkot (highly recommended) or have a look at the offerings of the Local Bazaar. During the evening you can make your way to Tundikhel and experience amazing views of mountains such as Manasalu, Ganesh Himal and Manakamana Peak.
 

Day 3 | Bandipur to Pokhara: 4-5 hours drive

After a  4-5 hours ride, you arrive at the city of Pokhara. This colorful city is graced by majestic mountains and tranquil lakes. Being such a wonderful destination, Pokhara over the years has equipped itself to adapt to the wishes of many visitors coming to experience this picturesque city.

Take an afternoon trip to Begnas Taal (lake). Begnas is a beautiful freshwater lake on Pokhara’s south east end. In the backdrop of the lake are hills and the majestic mountains, and it takes around 30min drive to get there from the Lakeside area. You can then take a boat ride and visit the village across the lake and go on a gentle hike for one hour. After the hike, you will be picked up and taken back to your hotel in Pokhara.

Day 4 | Pokhara day excursions:

The morning can be spent visiting the Peace Pagoda in Pokhara. The Peace Pagoda (also known as Shanti Stupa), is a monument embodying the Buddhist and Nepali spirit of peace, and provides stunning views of the valley below including Pokhara city and Phewa Lake.  A short hike (one hour) from the Stupa to the bottom of the hill can be arranged, from where you can take a boat back to the Lakeside.

After lunch you can visit the International Mountain Museum which has incredible information and displays of the mountains/mountaineers/flora & fauna and the different cultures of its inhabitants.

On the way back to your hotel, a visit to Davi’s Fall can be arranged to view this scenic waterfall.
Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 5 | Pokhara to Kathmandu: 25 minutes flight

After a short flight back to Kathmandu, you can relax for the day or opt to do some half day private tours such as Swayambhunath or Kathmandu Dubar Square. Overnight in Kathmandu. 

Day 6 | Full day Kathmandu private day tour

You can choose from one of the Kathmandu Valley private day tours listed on our website and spend your day exploring this beautiful valley.

Day 7 | Kathmandu departure

As this epic adventure wraps up, you may already be planning for your next trip to Nepal. A representative from Trans Himalayan Tour will escort you to the international airport in Kathmandu and we wish you a pleasant flight home. All the best until we meet again!
