Langtang is the less crowded but equally thrilling mountain adventure that lies closer to the capital than other trekking destinations. This trek centers around the Langtang valley and the settlements and landmarks that lie within its perimeter. It falls within the Langtang National Park, known for its lush forests, monsoon wild flowers, and flora and fauna. Although Langtang was badly affected by the 2015 earthquake, the rebuilding process has been commendable and the best way to make a difference is to visit the region.
The trek rewards your hard work with mesmerizing views of the surrounding Himalayas and the unique local cultures. The diversity experienced on this circuit which starts from the luscious green forests of Lamjung district with mostly Hindu settlements to the drier climates of Manang and Mustang districts where the deep faith in Buddhism prevails in the ethnically Tibetan cultures. The unconquered cliffs makes for magnificent backdrops and centuries old settlements exists in conjunction with the newer ones with tea houses.

There is a slight uphill portion before reaching Ghora Tabela, which houses the army and Langtang National Park posts. The beautiful village of Langtang was completely devastated by the 2015 earthquakes which caused a massive landslide.
